PDP PHASE I REGISTRATION
Phase I is an online learning program where the student works at their own pace. The study manual is available online. We will provide you with a link to study on a PC or laptop. Beginning with the basics, Phase I covers generation, transmission, and distribution schemes. It addresses basic electrical formulas, theory, and the customers, manufacturers, and associations that make up the electric utility industry. It offers information on technical specifications – equipment rating, voltage class, thermal and mechanical limitations, interrupting ability, and protection characteristics. In addition, it provides product application information on anchoring, electrical apparatus, conductors, connectors, insulators, lighting, metering, pole-line hardware, poles, protective devices, tools, transformers, underground components, and many more.
Please click the Register button below to enroll and pay for Phase I of NAAUD’s Professional Development Program (PDP).
Once your registration is complete you will receive an email with a link to the Phase I study manual, Knowledge is Power. Be sure to download the manual to the computer you will be studying from.
PDP Phase 2 Registration
Phase II students must successfully complete Phase I before they are eligible to participate. The concentrated 3 day onsite course, located on the Northwest Lineman College campus in Denton, TX, follows the content of Phase I. The student spends 80% of their time getting hands-on experience intended to prepare sales and marketing personnel to discuss, in more detail, the actual use of most electric utility related materials and equipment. Assessments are in real-time and the student gets the added value of immediate feedback.
